Apologies for the dearth of posts lately–life has been a bit travel- and drama-heavy lately, and I haven’t had a lot of spare time.
As an apology and stop-gap until I’m back up to speed, I’m offering a link to George Szirtes’ homepage, which deserves regular reading. He’s one of the poetry profs at UEA’s MA program (of which I am, if you haven’t clicked on my bio and read already, an alumna), a poet of rather ridiculous and prodigious talent, and a very entertaining blog-writer (click on the tab marked “News” for his blog). In fact, he’s got a distinct enough voice that I have to avoid catching up on his posts and writing anything myself, as it inevitably ends up with me writing in some bizarre Szirtes-pastiche. There should, as always, be more of his writing in the world…but hopefully not by me.
